An enigmatic guardian construct, made both of flesh and metal. It spends its whole life in front this temple, stationary, staring off into the distance with its unnerving eyes. When it stirs and attempts to move from its station, it is said to be an ill omen. Due to its nature as a temple guardian and its animal-like appearance, the archeologists who discovered them affectionately nicknamed them the "komainu", after the Shinto lion-dog statues of the same name.
